From 1989 to 1990 he has been in charge of the Management of the Mediolanum Sport Company (Fininvest Group).
He has been the GM of the Men’s Volleyball League from 1990 to 2000 and has been the first manager organizing, during many years, one of the biggest Italian sport marketing event named “Volleyland” at the Filaforum in Milan.
President of the World Ice Hockey Championships Organizing Committee in 1994, he has been also Secretary of the Technical Commission of the FIVB-Fédération Internationale de Volleyball from 1992 to 1994.

Since the foundation of “Studio Ghiretti & Associati” – today SGPlus- in 2001, he has established a team of managers with considerable experiences in Sport Marketing & Business Management, Strategy and Communications.
He is guest professor at several Italian Universities such as Milan, Padova and Parma and, since 1996, professor at University of Parma and S. Marino’s within the Sport Economy Master, University of Parma.
From 2002 to 2004, Roberto Ghiretti was the President of the Organizing Committee of the World Club Championship of FIVB.
